The anticipation was palpable as we prepared to host the first-ever Nespresso Recycling Award ceremony on 16th February 2023 at the Hennessy Park Hotel.

This award was a recognition of the amazing efforts and achievements in 2022 from our B2B and B2C customers for the Nespresso Recycling Program.

We were thrilled to be part of this groundbreaking event, having worked tirelessly to bring the vision of the award to life: Celebrating sustainability, something that is at the core of Scott & Nespresso’s values.

Scott launched its Nespresso Recycling Program in May 2019 for both B2B [Hotels, Restaurants, Offices] and individual customers. Scott recycling team collects the used capsules for recycling: The coffee ground is turned into natural fertilizers by Imove & Farmbasket and the aluminium is recycled by Mtrek.

The evening’s program included a keynote speech by Nespresso’s Brand Ambassador, an exposition of beautifully unique sculptures by Rula Koenig, made from Nespresso’s used capsules, followed by the award presentation ceremony.

The winners were Constance Belle Mare Plage in the hotel category and Le Fournil in the restaurant/cafe category.

The ceremony ended on a high note, with the attendees mingling and exchanging ideas and perspectives on sustainability and recycling. As we reflected on the success of the first Nespresso Recycling Award ceremony, we were filled with pride and hope for a more sustainable future.

 We look forward to the upcoming years of the award, and the continuing progress in sustainability that it will bring and pushing us closer to our target of a 100% recycling rate of used Nespresso capsules.
